Something we were noticing up close from the Menswear shows was the idea of over printing. The multi dimensional look of printing on textured fabrics, cut + paste looking designs, printing on finished garments and print over prints got us excited. There's just something that seems more tactile and thoughtful that gives us a break from carbon copy mass production.
A simple idea that's definitely worth exploring.

Another thing we've noticed on our radar is trompe l'oeil. Seen below at Diesel SS22 and showcased as graffiti spray paint at Givenchy's Resort 22 collection. See more further below.

How cute is the Prada triangle logo plaque!?

Rag & Bone have recreated some great trompe l'oeil indigo and acid washes on their knit denim.

Graffiti aerosol, as seen at Yohji Yamamoto and as previously mentioned, Givenchy Resort 22.

Keeping it clean as monochrome.

Paint splatter shirt by Rhude.

At Dior Men SS22, seeing these freestyle prints as artistic expression really got us thinking about the graffiti artist Futura 2000.

The prints are actually hand painted by the artist George Condo, to be auctioned to raise money for design scholarships at Parson's School of Design.

What a great way to give back.
