One thing we've been noticing when it comes to trends is there seems to be a longevity in certain prints and patterns or perhaps it's more accurate to say seasonal evolutions.

We're seeing this with the checkboard design which is bouncing between designer and retail, what with the love of logo prints and the translation of the popularity of Louis Vuitton's checkerboard design.

What we're finding interesting is the colour refresh of seeing it more in neutrals, almost like a balance to all the bright and vivid colour explosions we're seeing for SS22 and continuing into Fall 22. For sure, this again will continue into 2023 as the optimism of colour really is the key trend and how these colours compliment, clash and speak to each other within collections.

Hand drawn and inky painterly checkboards have a summery appeal and the more distorted clean graphics takes on a newer aspect. What looks really new for this design is seeing it on knitwear in a more distorted and playful way.
