Blob is such a funny word but it best describes the style of design we're seeing emerge from runway in its simple form of flowers, camo and animal inspiration.
The shape can be freehand or vector with the aesthetic as playful and with personality. The 60s floral is a key reference with Marimekko clearly showing how it's done as timeless vintage.
Bold in large scale or as a crammed all over, the roundness of form is fun and carefree. Colour here is key to balance out this print. There is something about the more sombre palette of earth tones which is looking newer and could lead nicely on as a development into Fall.
